Er. Bal Bahadur Thakurathi is a dedicated expert in the WASH sector and has been making impactful contributions since 2006. Currently serving as a Water and Sanitation Engineer with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, he has played a pivotal role in advancing critical water and sanitation initiatives aligned with global humanitarian objectives. From 2015 to 2020, he led the WASH Program at Oxfam in Nepal, delivering transformative outcomes through his visionary leadership. With extensive experience spanning government, non-governmental, UN, and private sectors, he is highly regarded for his strategic project management skills and expertise in sustainable WASH interventions. He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Humanitarian Action (UCAM, Spain), a Master’s in Public Administration (TU, Nepal), and an M.Sc. in Construction Management (PU, Nepal), and is a valuable executive member of the 11^th Executive Committee (EC) of SOPHEN.
