Er. Bal Bahadur Thakurathi is a dedicated expert in the WASH sector and has been making impactful contributions since 2006. Currently serving as a Managing Director with Kedar Group. From 2021 -2025, he worked as Water and Sanitation Engineer with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), he has played a pivotal role in advancing critical Water, Sanitation and Environmental initiatives aligned with UN Peacekeeping Mission.
From 2015 to 2020, he led the WASH Program at Oxfam in Nepal, delivering transformative outcomes through his visionary leadership. With extensive experience spanning government, non-governmental, UN, and private sectors, he is highly regarded for his strategic project management skills and expertise in Humanitarian as well as sustainable WASH interventions.
He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Humanitarian Action (UCAM, Spain), a Master’s in Public Administration (TU, Nepal), a M.Sc. in Construction Management (PU, Nepal) and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering (PU, Nepal). He is currently a Ph.D. scholar at the University of Cyberjaya (UoC), Malaysia.
