Er. Sharad Prasad Adhikari, Chairperson of SOPHEN, brings over 40 years of extensive experience in Sanitary and Public Health Engineering, both in Nepal and abroad. His decade-long tenure at the World Health Organization (WHO) enriched his expertise in global health and policy development. Additionally, he has previously served as a government employee in Nepal’s WASH sector, further solidifying his foundational knowledge of the country’s needs. He holds an M.Sc. in Water and Wastewater Engineering and an MPH from the UK, along with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from India. And his leadership and dedication to advancing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) policies continue to drive impactful initiatives within SOPHEN and the broader sector.
